The university has been very good to me and I appreciate it. However, I would like to point out “the forgotten few.” I am among the few people who obtained all of our social security and Medicare eligibility before we joined the university. Yet we are ignored. The various policies for retirees seem to favor those who never obtained social security because for years they could not pay into it because of universi9ty policy and the university did not have to contribute to their social security. I worked there during those years too but still qualified on my own for benefits. Also I retired in January 1992 so I paid my portion of pension benefits and health insurance while those in later years did not have to do that. I am only asking that you take into consideration our group too when you create your policies and provide for exceptions. Thank you.
